Governance & Leadership of IFHIMA

The IFHIMA Executive Board is the governing body of the Federation, which is made up of seven (7) elected officers, i.e. the President, the President-Elect and five Regional IFHIMA Directors representing the five (5) IFHIMA regions which are coterminous with the six WHO regions i.e. Africa & the Eastern Mediterranean (both regions are the responsibility of one IFHIMA Regional Director), the Americas, Europe, South East Asia and the Western Pacific. The Immediate Past President shall serve on the Executive Board in an ex-officio capacity for at least one year. The Membership Coordinator is an ex-officio member of the Executive Board. The Executive Board meets face-to-face annually and works by means of e-mail and quarterly conference calls in between meetings. The Executive Board reports to the General Assembly, which meets at the time of the International Congress every three years.
